MSNBC SETTLED DOCTOR'S LAWSUIT, AFTER IT FALSELY ACCUSED HIM OF REMOVING UTERUSES OF IMMIGRANTS

Health Exec reported that MSNBC settled at the end of February,2025, a defamation lawsuit brought by a doctor accused in multiple stories aired in 2020, during first Trump's presidency, of being a "uterus collector". The false stories were reported by Rachel Maddow, Chris Hayes and Nicolle Wallace and they accused Mahendra Ami, M.D. of extreme medical malpractice during his work as a physician at Georgia Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention facility. Ami denied the claims and brought a lawsuit asking for $30 million damages He accused the journalists of the network of failure to verify the allegations before airing them on multiple occasions. A Southern District of Georgia judge said the content of the complaint could meet the threshold of actual malice given that investigation into the doctor's actions showed evidence that the accusations were demonstrably false. NBC investigated the whistleblower's nurse allegations, and despite that the investigation did not corroborate the allegations, instead undermined them, the NBC republished the whistleblower's allegations. Why would they not? The allegations attacked President's Trump's immigration policies and were in synch with the picture the progressive media were presenting to the public.

Apparently, MSNBC refuses any comments on the particulars of the settlement, with the doctor who lost his license to practice medicine with the ICE, as a result of MSNBC's false reporting.
