I'm listening to your music,
I'm looking at you, dancing,
On the film of my first love,
That years ago has left me.
The life is quite a mystery,
The love is a tough bargain,
The silence is a constant,
When I call you, out there...
I'm still overwhelmed by desire
For the Holy Grail of sweetness.
The body still blessed with fire,
The mind hasn't lost its quickness.
The dreams are still with me,
The white nights are endless.
Alas, since I can't touch Thee,
My friends call me hapless...
I'm lost among crowd of terrestrials,
Far from sweet land of my brothers.
Where "to have" is on the pedestal,
And graves are not of my fathers.
Tell me, my muse, how am I to recover?
How to get back to my old dreamy ways?
Why with artificial schemes did I bother?
And, how to live the remainder of days?
How to get back, in the river of time,
To wild currents of unrestrained youth?
How to correct the years of missteps,
To find at the end the ever eternal truth?
